New Community Policing Officer at the West 6th Street (Marty Defatte) COP House

I was born and raised in Mexico. I moved to the city of Milwaukee when I was a teenager. I have friends and family in the City of Racine; therefore, I feel a special connection with the City of Racine.

I have been an officer for eight years, five of those with the Racine Police Department. After working on patrol for many years, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to make a greater impact as a Community Oriented Policing Officer. My goal is to create long-lasting relationships and serve as a bridge of communication and understanding between our police department and the citizens we serve. Together, we improve the quality of life in our neighborhood.

I am working on bringing the West 6th Street COP house back to life. I plan to partner with organizations and engage community members who are passionate about working together to create educational and fun programs and activities for the community. Finding positive things for neighbors to do provides an escape from day-to-day troubles. By building working relationships with neighbors, we can make this neighborhood a better, safer, and more dynamic place to live.
